Cross-cultural Missionaries
Every language matters,every person matters
We are Pepe and Miriam. We live among the nomatsiguenga people, in the jungle of Peru, and we support work with indigenous languages across the Americas.

What is a Latin American
family doing in the Amazon?
We are Pepe and Miriam, and together with our children we live among the nomatsiguenga people, in Peru. Miriam supports literacy work — helping the language have a written form that people can read and teach. Pepe is the bridge between mission software tools and the missionaries themselves in the field. Together, we also support other missionaries around the Americas with training — Miriam in the area of Language Development and Pepe leading the coordination of Language Technology — so that our colleagues can have the knowledge they need to develop their ministries in the indigenous languages where they serve.

The nomatsiguenga
and the BMA
We live at the Antioquia Mission Base, among the nomatsiguenga people. From here, Miriam works in literacy: helping the language have a written form that people can read, use and teach.
